Anal Rhagas

Although it is not a severe disease, the anal rhagas is very painful and causes several secondary problems, among which fear of defecating.

As a reaction to pain, the anal sphincter contracts, thus making it more difficult for the rhagas to heal. As pain is felt or worsened upon defecation, patients tend to delay defecation, thus worsening the wound: stool becomes larger and more solid and consequently more difficult to be expelled.
