Anal Fistula

Symptoms related to the fistula are the same as the ones associated with the abscess, and include pain (which is sometimes combined with swelling in the affected area), irritation of skin around the anus, feeling poorly in general and sometimes fever.

Fistulae can remain dormant, without any symptoms, for many years before showing themselves.
