ACPGBI Annual Meeting, 6-8 July 2022

On 6-8 July THD was in Edinburgh to participate in the Annual Meeting of the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland (ACPGBI)

On 4-6 July THD was in Edinburgh to participate in the ACPGBI Annual Meeting. The Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland (ACPGBI) is a group of 1000+ surgeons, nurses, and allied health professionals who advance the knowledge and treatment of bowel diseases in Britain and Ireland.
Likewise, the ACPGBI is committed to advancing the care of patients with bowel problems and ensuring the promotion of the best clinical practice.

The ACPGBI Annual Meeting is thus one of the most prominent conferences in the field of Coloproctology, aimed at enhancing professional performance. This 2022 edition focused on several topics, such as endo-anal scanning, the diagnosis of anorectal cancer and the treatment of haemorrhoidal disease, through round table discussions, symposia and advanced training sessions.

On 4th July, during the Symposium “Surgical Treatment of Haemorrhoids - are we fit for the future?”, Dr. Pasquale Giordano illustrated the advantages of the clinical evolution of the THD® Doppler procedure with the THD® Anolift technique: the new and recent upgrades have allowed the THD® Doppler procedure to reaffirm its leading role in treating all degrees of haemorrhoidal disorder in a minimally invasive way. The symposium proved a great success and on that occasion Dr. Giordano presented the European Registry for Anolift.
