Up to Date in Coloproctology, 10 June 2022

On 10 June THD was in Rome at the Cristo Re Hospital to participate in the Up to Date in Coloproctology conference

On 10 June THD participated in the conference Up to Date in Coloproctology, a CME event held at the Cristo Re Hospital in Rome. The conference focused on the therapeutic options currently available for the treatment of the most common proctological disorders, that often have a strong impact on the quality of life of patients who suffer from them. In particular, the latest developments in the treatment of haemorrhoids and faecal incontinence were presented. The conference goal was to allow healthcare professionals to discuss and share with each other the latest advances in the treatment of these diseases.

During the conference, Dr. Gallo and Dr. La Torre presented the most recent innovations in the surgical treatment of haemorrhoidal disease and in particular THD® Doppler procedure. On this occasion, Dr. Giordano and Dr. Heydari focused on the clinical evolution of the THD® Doppler procedure with the THD® Anolift technique. New and recent developments have allowed THD® Doppler procedure to reaffirm its leading role in treating all degrees of haemorrhoidal pathology in a minimally invasive way. The scientific sessions were followed by a live surgery performed by Dr. Ursino and Dr. Morucci.

In the second part of the day, Dr. Giuliani and Dr. Gallo focused on the treatment of faecal incontinence, presenting the results of alternative methods available for the treatment of this disease. During the same session, Dr. La Torre and Dr. Heydari illustrated the role of THD® SphinKeeper in the treatment of faecal incontinence. The scientific sessions dedicated to faecal incontinence were followed by live surgeries where Dr. Ursino and Dr. Morucci performed THD® SphinKeeper procedure for the minimally invasive surgical treatment of faecal incontinence.
