On 4 February is celebrated the World Cancer Day, promoted by the UICC - Union for International Cancer Control, to raise awareness and mobilise the global community to make progress against cancer.

New cancers caused by HPV infection are diagnosed every day. HPV is in fact the most common sexually transmitted disease in the world and can involve different anatomical sites.

In recent years, the fight against HPV-related tumors has made significant progress: from prevention to early diagnosis to the different forms of therapies available.

World Cancer Day is a precious opportunity to remember that awareness together with prevention and cutting-edge diagnostic-therapeutic paths are fundamental resources also in the prevention and treatment of HPV related tumors.
